Jeremy Clarkson hints at Top Gear departure
Writing in his regular Sun newspaper column, Clarkson described himself as a "dinosaur", and said that the day comes when you "wave goodbye to big monsters and move on".

Jeremy Clarkson: Top Gear host called producer a 'lazy Irish c*** before punching him', BBC disciplinary will reportedly hear
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! reports the investigation will be told the star shouted the abuse at Oisin Tymon, who was allegedly left with a bloodied lip which resulted in him needing hospital treatment during a "40-minute rant" over food.
...
An onlooker at the alleged 'fracas' said earlier this week that Clarkson was angered when he returned to the Simonstone Hall Hotel in the Yorkshire Dales after a day of filming and was informed he could not have the steak he wanted because the chef had gone home. Instead, soup and a cold meat platter had reportedly been arranged.
This led to a "scuffle" between the controversial host and Mr Tymon, according to the witness, before he was cooked a steak by the hotel's general manager.

As much as I love Top Gear and Clarkson I can't be one of his defenders here. If you punch a coworker you get fired, seems pretty reasonable.

Yea for real, I'll go work at the BBC if they let me assault anyone who dares provide me with non-steak sustenance.

Yeah, if Jeremy was working in a normal job, and were a normal guy. If Oprah punches a producer, do you think they fire Oprah?

But Oprah owns the production company. Clarkson doesn't.

Oprah owns her own network. The BBC is a public network. Clarkson is an employee the same as anyone else and assaulted a coworker, being big and important doesn't change the rules.

Clarkson has needed a lesson in humility for a long time now. Violence isn't an answer unless it's Piers Morgan. I wonder if Tiff Needell is available?

I think the best solution is a hefty fine against Clarkson, some sort of very public apology. Make him drive a Prius for a year or some sort of community service with manual labor. And then business as usual. In all honesty I've worked jobs where we've been pulling 14 hour days. Management says they're covering dinner, then it arrives and it's Subway. I wanted to punch whoever made the decision.

What is the point of making a tweet in the format of a click-bait headline if you haven't got a link to click?

The only thing is we'd have to subtitle Guy Martin for people outside of Northern England.
He's a top bloke. Measure twice, cut once.

True, but the thing about Guy is while he's only coherent half the time he's entertaining all the time. So it doesn't matter if people understand him or not
